In 1957 the TV Midlands today was launched for East Midlands and Midlands. Midlands today was the first regional news magazine. Because of the region being so large the news programme was split up. Midlands Today and East Midlands Today in 1991.
Midlands today moved into the Mail Box in 2004.
East Midlands today[]
East Midlands today served the East Midlands because their studios back at Midlands were too small. The region was separate with the Midlands Today.
