BBC Three is a television channel from the BBC broadcasting via digital cable, terrestrial, IPTV and satellite platforms. And was a free on-line on-demand UK service.
The channel is described by the BBC as an outlet for 'New comedy, talent, drama, films, and accessible news'. The channel was on-air from 19:00 to about 04:00 each night before CBBC goes on-air.
As of 16 February 2016 it became a free on-line, on-demand UK service. viewers can watch it via the internet on various devices via it's new website (BBC Three) or via the BBC iPlayer BBC Three section. As an on-demand service it no longer has a live stream.
On 2 March 2021, the BBC confirmed that BBC Three would return on 1 February 2022, timesharing once again with CBBC, which will revert to finishing at 19:00 instead of 21:00 as it's regular time. The returns of BBC Three shows include the return of 60 Seconds, Family Guy, American Dad, Repeats of Doctor Who, EastEnders, and Top Gear; and brand new programmes such as The Catch Up, Ru Paul's Drag Race UK, Nail Bar Boys, Love in the Flesh & Peel Park Quarter.
